The slowest switching Brass plugins in my library are also the slowest loaders: 8DIO Century Brass. Modern Scoring Brass by Audiobro is heavier and switches about three times slower. For example, looking at Brass plugins for Kontakt: Infinite Brass by Aaron Venture is a very light affair and switches quickly. Within Kontakt, it seems that the more memory intensive the Kontakt instrument, the longer it takes to switch. It’s Kontakt that’s causing the sluggish track switching. Sine in particular is super fast, with Synchron being a tiny bit slower. However, now that I’ve recently started working with instruments which use the Sine and the Synchron players, I realise that both those plugins do actually switch almost instantaneously.
